We love the McLaren Vale wine district and want to share it with you!
Your hosts, Charlotte & Rune Gennerud, are of Swedish origin, hence the name the Viking Farm B&B and we have been in Australia since 2004. Even though we didn’t come by Longboat, we are very experienced travelers ourselves and we have stayed in numerous hotels and B&Bs around the world.
Sometimes we like to dine out, but sometimes we like to stay in and have a bite to eat in our room. Therefore, we offer a fully equipped kitchen. If we’re attending a wedding or another function, Charlotte needs a place to hang her long formal dress. Therefore, we’ve put in a special hanger for that.
A shower shall have a generous water flow, plenty hot water and be spacious.
We’ve ticked that box! The rest of all the details you have to come an watch yourselves.
When we built our two units, we tried to combine all our knowledge and experiences with the genuine Australian hospitality and we have succeeded. At least that’s what our guests are telling us. Check us out on Tripadvisor or, even better, come and find out for yourself.
We’re animal lovers, but unfortunately we cannot accept pets, because we have too many of our own. We are bilingual, Swedish and English, and can handle a little French and German as well.
We’ve lived in the McLaren Vale wine district since January 2007, so we’re settled and know the area very well. We’d love to share our knowledge with you. There are numerous exciting, different or adventurous experiences awaiting your arrival. Take a walk and watch kangaroos in their natural habitat, take a drive on our pristine beach and stop for a dip in the ocean, have lunch or dinner at one of our favourite restaurants close by and, of course visit a couple of the district’s many cellar doors. We can tell you about a few hidden gems!
Or simply unwind, relax at home. Sit on the veranda and watch the sun set while sipping on a glass of the local drops.
